Since I am keeping up with this to write about stuff, I am going to write about this and hopefully at least I will read it in the future.
2 weeks ago Newcastle won their first proper cup since the 1960s and it is this very strange thing. We are a big historic club and so on, but it’s just been the thing that we never win things. We have been in the Champions League and a famous club in my life, but you just don’t win.
It was fine, like I am from a village in one of the poorest parts of England, I was never poor, my parents were teachers and I’m a teacher, but you don’t win.
So they won, I still haven’t processed it, winning is an alien concept.
Then today they had the parade, and the entire city was filled, and everyone had black and white stripes, and it was very tribal. And it felt like being part of a tribe. I watch most games on telly, I have only been to a couple in my life, I think about 10, but it’s not even about the football, it’s like we are this little weird place, and it’s something to rally around.

My family are citizens of the UK, and we were all born there, but we have this rogue element which is my dad, he was adopted by an English family because his parents were in England because of WW2, he found out his mum was Irish and he has found that family, but his dad, well that was some guy.
He did one of those DNA things and they said that he was West Asian, Greece or Turkey probably. We assumed Jewish since it was WW2, but I mean it doesn’t really matter, Jews are just another one of those things, it’s all made up. And to be honest, like he’s swarthy but England is so mixed, in Newcastle people think you are French lol.
Where is he going with this? Nowhere
But let’s do a stretch here. Geordies are foreigners to England, like that is kind of a long joke. So we are all foreigners. This is just rambling
But we are all foreigners, like you need a tribe. The people that we think of as English, like Boris Jonhson and them, they are all off all over the world. It’s an interesting historical quirk how it all worked out that England won the capitalism because we were the shit country in Europe.
The posh people are all French, it’s like the Italian mafia, or of course the stereotype of Jews, or Muslims, like this mafia. And really, you want to join the mafia, just any fucking mafia lol.
This is not revolutionary thinking lol. This is a man, alone.
